William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship for Minority Students
Application Deadline: March, annually
The Nonprofit Sector Research Fund, a grantmaking program of The Aspen Institute in Washington, D.C., offers the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship in conjunction with a summer internship program open to members of minority groups based on need and academic excellence. Both graduate and undergraduate students are eligible for the award. Through this scholarship program, the Fund seeks to introduce a diverse group of students to issues relating to philanthropy, voluntarism, and nonprofit organizations. Recipients may arrange with their colleges or universities to receive academic credit for this experience.

OJJDP: Office of Juvenile Justice and Prevention
OJJDP provides funding to States, territories, localities, and private organizations, including faith-based institutions, through block grants and discretionary funding . Block funding, through regular Formula Grants and State Challenge and Prevention money, goes to States and territories. Juvenile Justice Specialists administer funding through subgrants to States and localities. Discretionary funding is awarded through competitive peer review. OJJDP follows a planning process to assist with decisions for program priorities and funding opportunities.

Each year, The Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation solicits applications for Lindbergh Grants from the U.S. and abroad through a wide mailing of its application form to all degree-granting institutions in the U.S., as well as the Lindbergh Foundation's mailing list of those in the U.S. and other countries who maintain a current interest in the Foundation's programs. This list includes publications, government agencies, media, universities, and other non-profit organizations. Approximately 200 formal grant applications are received each year.

The Office of Fellowships (OF) has the central management and administrative responsibility for the Institution's programs of research grants, fellowships, and other scholarly appointments.
